ABOUT US
Peacock Community Energy’s mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy in Uttlesford District and surrounding areas by advising on, promoting, installing, and operating renewable and low-carbon energy projects. We support local residents and organizations in taking action on climate change while keeping the environmental and economic benefits within our community.
We are a Community Benefit Society operating on co-operative values and principles with democratic member control. As a community-owned organization, we exist to benefit the local community rather than generate private profit, with any surplus reinvested into further renewable energy initiatives.
